History Of Float Fest Slidell
Float Fest Slidell launched in 2022 as a grassroots celebration of music, summer, and Louisiana’s love for the water. Held on Crab Trap Island in Lake Pontchartrain, this one-of-a-kind festival invites you to float, boat, swim, or wade your way to the party—because there are no roads to this stage, only waves.
By 2025, the event had already made a splash with performances from local legends like PaperChase, Rhythm Chasers, and Two Piece Dark Meat: The Delta Variant. With its laid-back, “party at your own risk” vibe and a crowd that brings their own floats, Float Fest has quickly become a must-attend summer ritual.
